More details

Near the church of San Michele Arcangelo Ruta di Camogli * begins on the steps of Gaixella, a shady path that begins in the midst of houses, with steps and continues with cobblestones.
You leave behind some deviations encountered along the way (right, in some places, you can enter the carriage road, left a dead end road that leads to a private property) to go straight.

After about 20 minutes, on the back along the Hotel Portofino Kulm, you get to Portofino Vetta (location which is accessible by car).
We report that indicated on the left is a trail (Costa Ramezzana-Il Monte-Violara-Km501) will travel but we do not recommend that because it is unclear and badly maintained especially in the last section.

The road continues essentially flat, crossing the detour to the left of the St. Lorenzo della Costa and a little later, in the locality Gaixella, the path that goes down in San Rocco di Camogli.
Here is a first stopping point equipped with tables, wooden benches and tap water. Going After fifty yards start the paths that lead to Semaforo nuovo eand Semaforo vecchio, keeping the main path (segnavia) you come to narrow stone, the heart of the Cape where you can reach several other locations: San Fruttuoso, San Rocco Camogli, Portofino Mare, Santa Margherita Ligure, Base 0, Nozarego, Paraggi, and others.

Here also is a second picnic area with tables, benches and drinking water faucet.

* The church is reached by stairs on the left of the tunnel (coming from Genoa).

The Park of Portofino is a peaceful oasis where you can walk completely immersed in nature, surrounded by breathtaking scenery.
Beauty is priceless, to appear, as they descend from the summit, the picturesque fishing villages overlooking the Golfo Paradiso and Tigullio. From the colorful houses of Camogli to famous VIP square of Portofino, from the rocky Punta Chiappa to elegant Santa Margherita Ligure, from unmistakable Paraggi turquoise sea to little bay of San Fruttuoso di Camogli.
The many paths through the Monte di Portofino differ in length and difficulty making it possible for anyone to access it by choosing, according to their capacity, a simple and short walk or a more challenging path.
