Zoagli is a nice and peaceful tourist resort situated between Liguria Rapallo and Chiavari.
One feature that makes this small village is the beautiful promenade nestled between the rocks, especially impressive in the evening and on days of storm, along which you can see two towers built around 1500 to defend the town against attacks by Saracen pirates. While Castello Canevaro, to the west, is now privately owned and there are celebrated weddings, concerts, congresses, the Levante Saracen Tower is owned by the municipality which organizes exhibitions, cultural events, and civil marriages.
To get to the beaches, some consisting of small rocky coves and other bathing establishments equipped with every comfort, you cross the pedestrian square surrounded by colorful houses, typical of Liguria, and dehors of bars and restaurants, often animated by a central fountain. Zoagli also offers the possibility of pleasant walks through the Creuze that, crossing cultivated terraces and woods, come to the small villages on the heights of the village, as Semorile, St. Pietro, St. Ambrogio and exudes an atmosphere of times past and you can enjoy wonderful views.
But the name of Zoagli is mostly also related to silk, in fact here, more than a century ago, did the manufacturer of handicraft industry of silk velvets famous all over the world, where even today you can buy fabrics for clothing and furnishing of high quality.
The quiet hamlet of Liguria can be reached by train or car exiting at Rapallo or Chiavari.
